Ellipsis, folds of memory welcomes you to its five-day inaugural program, consisting of 13 multidisciplinary practitioners from the Balkans and the Middle East, whose works probe, speculate upon, and reclaim archives and narratives in the context of the intimate, hidden, left-over, displaced, suspended and overwritten. The program centers on existence in the state of fallout and re-creation, exploring the collaborative capacities of thinking through possible futures.
Structured through conversations, workshops, performances, and screenings, the programmed works propose an array of responses to the condition of the aftermath: relieving, repairing, revisiting, countering, revising, re-membering, re-imagining, recreating — across mediums, sites, temporalities and disciplines.
